Rachel Wainwright-van Kessel

Rachel Wainwright-van Kessel (CPA, CMA) is the Director of Finance/Treasurer of the Town of Aurora since 2019 and prior to that was with the Regional Municipality of York for 10 years in municipal finance roles. Rachel has led a number of transformative changes in municipal finance including procurement modernization of the bylaw and processes, implementation of multi-year budgeting, redesign of financial reporting, development of Aurora's Fiscal Strategy, enhancing and developing new financial policies, streamlining existing financial processes and multiple implementations of financial and budget systems. Rachel is a graduate of the University of Waterloo and a Chartered Professional Accountant.
